Layout Printing

The layout printing task enables a user to print the on-screen map to a variety of formats, including PDF, JPEG, and TIFF.

To use the layout printing task, click on “layout printing” in the task menu. In the layout printing box that appears, select “Layout 1” from the “Templates” drop down list, choose the preferred file format from the “format” drop down list, and then add in a title and subtitle for the map. Then, click on the “submit job” button.

In the results tab, the phrase “Layout: Layout 1” will be highlighted in blue. Click on the highlighted phrase to open the file in a new window.

Note: If a “cannot find server” error message appears after completing the last step, change the phrase http://gisserver/proxyoutput... (located in the URL address bar) to read http://cecilmaps.ccdps.org/proxyoutput/... This is a known error which the site administrator is currently attempting to correct.
