What does the lightning bolt button do?

The lightning bolt button, located above the “tasks” menu next to the magnifier button, allows a user to learn more about the owner of a given property. To use this feature, zoom in to the parcel about which you’d like to know more information. The parcels will be outlined in an orange/beige color.

By clicking on the lightning bolt button, then clicking in the middle of the parcel, a link to the State Department of Assessment and Taxation’s (SDAT) “Real Property Search” website will be generated. This link will launch a new web browser window that contains the SDAT information.

Note: If the new browser window does not appear, you may be prompted to allow pop-ups from the Cecil Maps site. You must enable pop-ups in order to view the new web browser window that contains the SDAT information.
